High-end new construction in NYC offers stunning views and sleek interior spaces.  The nature of development work is to appeal to a wide range of tastes, which often results in a neutral white/grey palette and restrained design language.  The client owned a lovely 4-bedroom apartment in the Dumbo neighborhood of Brooklyn, but the architecture of the home lacked a personality that aligned with the clients’ style. 

This project explored colors and textures that drew from the clients' South Asian heritage - incorporating rich tones and warm finishes kept within a highly modern form. The focus of the work was several bathrooms, which employed custom millwork and stone fabrications. One bedroom was converted into a flexible workout/guest room with a built-in Murphy bed.  Custom designed and fabricated brass lighting was added throughout the home, namely with the aim of featuring the clients’ stunning art collection.
